From July 9th to 11, the Ministry of Local Government Administration, in cooperation with the DEMOS project, co-financed by the European Union, Switzerland, and Sweden, organized the three-day workshop of the Working Group for the Review of the Municipal Performance Management System Indicators.
During the three working days, the members of the Working Group reviewed and discussed the findings and recommendations for all indicators of the Municipal Performance Management System, with the aim of further reviewing and improving the system. The discussions focused on drafting recommendations that will contribute to the development of a more efficient, more functional and more adapted system to the needs of local government.
The MLGA remains committed to the further development of the Municipal Performance Management System and the strengthening of the Municipal Performance Grant (MPG) as key mechanisms for improving the performance of municipalities. Through continued funding of the MPG in the coming years, the Ministry aims to support municipalities in providing better quality, more efficient and more accountable services.
