Pristina, September 29, 2026 – Representatives from the Ministry of Local Government Administration (MLGA) participated in a joint workshop to co-design Local Open Government Action Plans (OGP Local) for 2026–2029 for the municipalities of Pristina and Gjakova. The event was held at Hotel Sirius in Pristina with the support of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe.
The activity brought together representatives from municipalities, municipal assemblies, civil society organizations, experts, and other stakeholders to identify priorities and co-design concrete commitments regarding transparency, civic participation, accountability, innovation, and digital transformation at the local level. During the workshop, participants discussed the specific challenges and needs of each municipality, held dedicated sessions to define priorities and draft initial commitments, and exchanged experiences on advancing open government practices. The participation of the MLGA in this process aims to support inter-institutional cooperation and link local initiatives with the Open Government process at the central level, within the framework of Kosovo’s commitments to the Open Government Partnership (OGP). The process will proceed with the consultation and validation of the proposed commitments, leading to the finalization of the respective action plans for the 2026–2029 period.
