On September 28 and 29, a two-day workshop with municipal coordinators regarding the Municipal Performance Management System (MPMS) took place in Gjilan, organized by the Ministry of Local Government Administration.

During the workshop, the second draft of the MPMS indicators was presented and discussed, as well as the municipal coordinators’ comments, observations, and proposals regarding the clarity, measurability, data sources, and applicability of the indicators at the municipal level were reviewed.
Special attention was also paid to the MPMS platform and the Municipal Performance Grant platform, focusing on functionality, the simplification of reporting, and the creation of a practical approach for municipalities.
One of the key requests from the coordinators was for the MPMS platform to remain continuously open, enabling municipalities to report and update data and documents as needed.
Thus, the discussions held between the MLGA, the expert, and the municipal coordinators contributed to the further harmonization of the indicators and defining of steps for their finalization.
This process is being carried out with the aim of making the Performance Management System as functional, measurable, and practical as possible for municipalities, thereby further strengthening municipal performance management and assessment.
Cooperation with the municipalities will continue through the subsequent stages, leading up to the finalization and further improvement of the system.
