On October 26, 2026, the eighth bilateral meeting as part of the Kosovo – North Macedonia Cross-Border Cooperation Programme (IPA III 2021–2027) was held in Pristina.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the structures responsible for managing the Programme—namely, Kosovo’s Ministry of Local Government Administration and North Macedonia’s Ministry of Local Self-Government—as well as the Joint Technical Secretariat.
The primary objective of the meeting was to review and finalize the draft application package for the new Technical Assistance Grant Contract covering the 2026–2029 period.
Discussions also covered remaining activities under the current technical assistance contract, progress in the Programme’s implementation, and lessons learned to date, with the aim of improving the coordination and planning of future activities.
The meeting served as an opportunity for further coordination between the structures of both countries and for defining the next steps for the implementation of the Programme.
