Deputy Prime Minister and also Minister of Local Government Administration (MLGA), Mr. Slobodan Petrovic has met in his cabinet with Mr. Ranjit Nayak, Director of the World Bank in Kosovo.The meeting was aimed discussion about the possibilities of cooperation between MLGA and the World Bank for projects that are of interest for both parties especially projects, which stimulate economic development in the local level.
During the meeting, Minister Petrovic said that the Ministry of Local Government Administration is ready to continue cooperation with the World Bank and that the doors of the Ministry are opened to realize common projects for municipalities.
"MLGA’s doors are opened for cooperation and I am sure that we will find the joint formula of cooperation, "- said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of MLGA, Mr. Slobodan Petrovic.
Mr. Slobodan Petrovic informed Mr. Ranjit Nayak that MLGA has developed local strategic orientations for development of the new municipalities as Gracanica, Klokot, and Ranillug and soon will complete the strategy for the Municipality of Partesh
While, Director of the World Bank in Kosovo, Mr. Ranjit Nayak said that, should created a better future for municipalities, by working directly on sustainable economic development and on competitiveness ability and we should implement priority projects and should seek opportunities for larger projects.
World Bank and UN have joint strategies and in cooperation with the Kosovo Government, respectively with MLGA, they will be realized, on time.
