Within the coordination of activities for the census in Kosovo that will start on 1st of April, this year, the Deputy Prime Ministers: Hajredin Kuci and Slobodan Petrovic met the Mayors of the Kosovo Municipalities.
By considering the consensus as one of the highest priority processes for the country, and the need for cooperation between local and central level, the Kosovar Deputy Prime Ministers, Mr. Hajredin Kuci and Mr. Slobodan Petrovic met the Mayors of Kosovo Municipalities.
The Deputy Prime Minister, Hajredin Kuci said that the census is important for the country and offers the opportunity for ensuring the real situation of the statistics on population and demographic changes of the population. The Deputy Prime Minister said that the census would also help to build policies for better welfare of citizens.
"The census will help us to build policies on decision-making and citizens’ welfare and to be careful that the census is well organized” said the Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo and the Minister of Justice, Mr. Hajredin Kuci.
The Deputy Prime Minister, Slobodan Petrovic, said that the census is of a special importance and that mayors should treat it as one of the current processes with the highest priority in the municipalities.
Mr. Petrovic also guaranteed to the mayors of Municipalities that they will have the support from the MAGL in all necessary phases during the process of census.
"Census is one of the processes with the highest priority. I guarantee unconditional support from MAGL in order to end this process successfully. ” said the Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo and the Minister of Local Government Administration, Mr. Slobodan Petrovic.
For the importance of census also talked the Minister of Public Administration, Mr. Mahir Yagjillar and the Chairman of the Committee on Census, Mr. Rifat Blaku.
