In the framework of strengthening the cross- border cooperation between Kosovo and Macedonia, Deputy Minister of MLGA, MR. Basri Musmurati was in the official visit in Macedonia where he met with the Minister of Local Government of Government of Macedonia, MR. Nevzad Bejta and the member of Macedonia Assembly, MR. Xhevat Ademi.
Main topic of this meeting was continuing the activities that were foreseen in the component for cross-border cooperation, especially constructing the building and opening the new border crossing in the village of Stanishiq/Karadaku, which would serve as a connection bridge between region of Anamorava and the region of Shkup/Skopje.
In this project which is important to both Countries, Kosovo has taken all necessary steps, where as it is expected from Macedonia part to fulfill their duties in order to implement this project.
Deputy Minister of MLGA, MR. Basri Musmurati said that Kosovo will start to build the Highway Prishtinë-Hani I Elezit, as soon as all the necessary procedures are finished.
As far as the cross-border cooperation between Kosovo and Macedonia, Minister of Local Government of Macedonia said that the Government of Macedonia has foreseen in its program building the Highway Shkup-Bllace.
Both parties have agreed that this priority remain priority number one for both Ministries of Local Government, of Kosovo and Macedonia. In order to empower the cross-border cooperation between Kosovo and Macedonia we need increase the EU funds in order to have a much more effective implementation of this project because they are is in the inters of citizen from the both sides.
