In Rozhaje, Montenegro a followup Information Session and partner search forumwas held for the first call for proposals under the CBC Programme Kosovo-Montenegro.
A large number of potential applicants from both sides attended the Information Session and Partners Search Forum for the first call for proposals under the IPA Cross-Border Cooperation between Kosovo and Montenegro, organized in the Rozhaje Montenegro
The session was launched by Amela Kovacevic, representative from the operating structurefrom the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Montenegro who "Welcomed the participants for their interest, thanked the Kosovo Operating Structure for the excellent cooperation and coordination and she invited all organizations to apply with more qualitative proposals in this call”.
On the other hand, Drin Haraçia as a representative of the Operating Structure from the Ministry of Local Government Administration stated that "This is the first call for proposals in the framework of cross-border cooperation with Montenegro. The purpose of these information sessions is to have as many quality applications as possible and better possible information to the interested parties on the rules of application and applicant package and he invited the non-governmental organizations, municipalities and other institutions on both sides of the border for a better cooperation between them”.
This is the first call for proposals in the framework of cross-border cooperation between the two countries and cofunded by the European Union in the framework of IPA funds. This call is the result of cooperation and a long consultative process with stakeholders and potential beneficiaries from Kosovo and Montenegro.
The objective of this program is the socio-economic development of the program area by promoting cooperation and joint initiatives. This objective will be achieved through the following measures: Environmental protection, Sustainable economic development and Social cohesion and people to people initiatives.
This call for proposals was launched on 16th December 2013 while the deadline for submission of applications is 25th March 2014, 16:00 hours local time.
The financial allocation for this call amounts to a total of € 3,240,000 (of which 1,620,000 are from Kosovo and 1,620,000 from Montenegro)
