As a part of regular visits to the municipalities of Kosovo, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Government Administration, Mr. Slobodan Petrović has visited the municipality of Gjakova where he was welcomed by the Mayor of the Municipality, Mrs. Mimoza Kusari Lila. 19 February 2014, Prishtina
The functioning of the municipality following the election of the Chairperson of the Municipal Assembly and the appointment of relevant departments were topics that were discussed by the Deputy Prime Minister Petrović and Mayor Mimoza Kusari Lila.
Deputy Prime Minister Petrović has promised MLGA’s unreserved support to the municipality of Gjakova in the implementation of projects of importance to the municipality and citizens, emphasizing that during 2013 the Ministry of Local Government Administration and donors have invested an amount of 700 million Euros for the realization of different projects in Gjakova.
During his visit to the municipality of Gjakova, the Deputy Prime Minister Petrović has reiterated that "On behalf of the Government of Kosovo I promise unreserved support to municipalities with the aim of improving the quality of citizens’ life."
Mayor Mimoza Kusari Lila has said that municipality of Gjakova is currently undergoing preparations to apply for projects and donor’s conference. The main problems that this municipality encounters are the property issues.
