The Ministry of Local Government Administration in cooperation with the Swiss project DEMOS, Helwetas have held a two-day (fourth in a row) workshop: Review of the Municipal Performance Management System (MPMS) on 22ndand 23nd of February, at the hotel “Emerald" in Prishtina.
The workshop was attended by coordinators of municipal performance, experts of specific sectors for certain services and experts from publicly owned enterprises that provide services to citizens.
During this workshop, the participants have analysed and defined fields, results and indicators. Moreover, the participants have particularly reviewed the comments arising out from consultations with the political level i.e. Mayors. These technical comments were incorporated into a draft document on MPMS by the technical groups of experts.
The workshop has also tackled the specific guidelines for the methodology of collection, verification and reporting of municipal performance data and has also selected comments that complement and enhance document on some specific areas.
At the closing part of the workshop, the participants have discussed about the mechanisms for ensuring the sustainability of professional capacities for reliable reporting of data by municipalities, as well as steps that need to be taken by MLGA and DEMOS until the end of the revision process of the system.
