MLGA Minister Mrs. Emilija Redžepi participated in the celebration of March 8th, International Women’s Day organized by the Agency for Gender Equality under the initiative of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Albin Kurti.
This day is being celebrated through the launching of the Amendment of the Legal Framework for Protection against Domestic Violence, as well as the presentation of the final draft of the Kosovo Gender Equality Program.
The MLGA Minister once again confirmed the support for municipalities to strengthen the role of women at the local level of government.
Minister Redžepi also announced that MLGA has made all preparations for the start of project implementation which will include 50% of females and aims at improving the socio-economic inclusion of at least 3000 non-aligned young people of the most sensitive communities in Kosovo through: enhancing soft skills and volunteer opportunities, increasing youth-driven community initiatives and increasing access to youth community infrastructure and services.
