The tri-party agreements (MLGA – Municipality – SDC-DEMOS) for co-financing of capital projects from the municipal performance grant 2020, were signed today in the presence of MLGA Minister, Mrs. Emilija Redžepi and mayors of municipalities: Gjilan, South Mitrovica, Skenderaj and Junik. This grant was co-financed by the MLGA and supporting donors from the Swiss, Swedish and Norwegian Governments.
The agreements are intended to implement the criteria, principles, procedures and legal rules of co-financing and expenditure of material means, in accordance with legal provisions and Municipal Performance Grant Rules.
The agreements include six projects from four municipalities in the amount of 1,516,897 euros. Of which € 1,221,420 are funds allocated from the municipal performance grant and € 525,478.00 from the municipal budgets, as follows:
• MUNICIPALITY OF GJILAN – “Construction of a new bus station” project in the amount of € 699,582, of which € 430,423 are from the municipal performance grant and € 269,159 from the municipal co-financing.
• MUNICIPALITY OF SOUTH MITROVICA – Project “Infrastructure regulation in the new neighborhood, Frashër village”. The value of the project is 447,000 euros, of which € 346,427 from the performance grant and € 100,573 from the municipal co-financing.
• MUNICIPALITY OF JUNIK – The project “Asphalting of the local road Junik – Gjoca”.The total value of the project is € 220,000, of which € 187,254 € are performance grant funds (PG) and € 32,746 from municipal co-financing.
• MUNICIPALITY OF SKENDERAJ – A total of three projects: 1) “Rehabilitation of Adem Jashari Square” in the amount of 75,315. € 00 (€ 70,315 from the PG and € 5,000 from the municipal co-financing ); 1) “Construction of Sports field” in the amount of € 25,000 (€ 22,000 from the PG and € 3,000 from the municipal co-financing ); 3) “Public lighting and sidewalks in the local community” in the amount of € 165,000.00 (115,000.00 from the GP and € 50,000.00 from the municipal co-financing).
