Gender integration in the decision-making process

15 December 2020, Pristina
Today, on December 15, 2020, is held a seminar on gender integration in the decision-making process. This online seminar was organized by the Mission in Kosovo of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), in cooperation with the Ministry of Local Government (MLG). Thus MLG was represented in the seminar by Venera Çerkini – Director of LDMM, who spoke about the experiences and views of MLG regarding gender policy from the perspective of MLG.
The purpose of the online seminar was to strengthen the participants’ knowledge about gender integration in the decision-making process, including the identification of the respective needs and interests of women and men arising from the exercise of roles and positions in government structures.
Participants had the opportunity to learn more about international standards and principles of gender equality, through the mechanism of gender integration.
This online seminar was held as a continuation of the questionnaire on the needs of women in governance for professional capacity building, which the OSCE Mission in Kosovo conducted with officials earlier this year.
