The Secretary General of MLGA Venera Çerkini participated today in the panel of the 5th Edition of the Week of Sustainable Development in Kosovo.
The theme of this edition is the advancement of the green agenda in Kosovo and in the region. In this panel Mrs. Çerkini discussed about the sustainable development at the local level and the advancement of the green agenda. Among others, Mrs. Çerkini emphasized the role of MLGA in relation to municipalities in terms of green agenda, stimulating municipalities through municipal performance grants, capacity building in this area, as well as the benefits that municipalities will have upon signing of the Charter for a Green and Sustainable Municipality.
This edition is the 5th edition of the Sustainable Development Week in Kosovo, which is organized by the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Regional Development, European Union Office in Kosovo, German GIZ and civil society organizations INDEP and BGF.
