On 13 March 2019 Mrs. Kadrije Myrtaj and Mrs. Teuta Fazliu from the Division for Advancement of Human Rights/MLGA participated in the public hearing of the Commission for Human Rights, Gender Equality, Missing Persons and Petitions of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.
The purpose of the public hearing was to supervise and find out the challenges regarding the implementation of the Law No/L-20 on Gender Equality. During the meeting the members of the Assembly Commission and the Chief Executive of the Agency for Gender Equality appraised the initiative of the General Secretary of MLGA Mrs. Rozafa Ukimeraj for sending a letter to all the Mayors of the Republic of Kosovo in regards to the implementation of the Law on Gender Equality. The purpose of the letter was to improve the situation and it had a positive effect in all the municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo. Furthermore, it was appreciated the good cooperation of MLGA with the Agency for Gender Equality and the municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo.
