The Ministry of Local Government, held today a virtual meeting with the Parliamentary Committee on Human Rights, Gender Equality, Missing Persons and Petitions and with the National Democratic Institute (NDI). The purpose of the meeting was for the Member of the Parliament, members of the Committee, to discuss together with the responsible ministries, regarding the necessary preparations for the start of the implementation of Law no. 06/L-084 on Child Protection, which was adopted on 27 June 2019 and will enter into force in July 2020.
Also, at the meeting there were discussed the current preparations of the institutions responsible for the implementation of the Law on Child Protection. The meeting was supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
