In order to achieve gender equality and women’s empowerment, today on September 29, 2020, is held a virtual meeting organized by UN Women and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency – SIDA, where it has been presented the regional project “Transformational and Transparent Financing for Gender Equality, Comprehensive and Responsible Governance in the Western Balkans”.
In this meeting were presented the initiatives and previous experiences of gender responsive budgeting and it was said that these initiatives have directly affected the lives of women because “the budget took into account their needs and priorities”. In this meeting it was requested to provide encouragement and will for the implementation of this project.
MLG, as one of the institutions responsible for the implementation of this project participated in this virtual meeting, represented by Mrs. Venera Çerkini -Director of the Legal Department and Monitoring of Municipalities.
