Cross-border Co-operation (IMC) is an EU-funded instrument, co-financed by the cooperating countries, which supports and enables border countries to cooperate in the fields for example economic, social, environmental, and cultural.
Kosovo is currently engaged in cross-border co-operation with its neighbors:
– Albania;
– North Macedonia and
– Montenegro
The mechanism through which cross-border cooperation is implemented is through projects.
The main characteristic of the cross-border cooperation project, is that it is fully joint, with representation from every side of the border.
Cross-Border Cooperation (IMC) is the second component of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA).
