Based on Municipal Plan of visits for 2015, the Ministry of Local Government Administration, on May 26, 2015 has realized the next visit in the municipality of Zvecan in order to strengthen the cooperation and better coordination of joint activities, as and to meet the obligations of the European agenda.

Based on Municipal Plan of visits for 2015, the Ministry of Local Government Administration, on May 26, 2015 has realized the next visit in the municipality of Zvecan in order to strengthen the cooperation and better coordination of joint activities, as and to meet the obligations of the European agenda. MLGA team was led by Mrs. Rozafa Ukimeraj, Head of Department for European Integration and Policy Coordination, they were welcomed by the adviser of the mayor of Zvecan Mrsj. Jelena Djokic and USAID representative.
Special emphasis during the visit it was given, addressing the obligations of the European agenda, obligations which are included within the Dialogue of the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAPD), Action Plan for the Stabilization and Association Process (ESAP), the Progress Report and the Roadmap for Visa liberalization.
Furthermore, Ms. Ukimeraj, in front of the participants presented and discussed about what was mentioned above regarding the obligations, duties and responsibilities that are part of the municipality work, in order to strengthen and increase efficiency and effectiveness, regarding on providing quality services for local citizens.
Also, topic of discussion was the issue of appointment of official for the Protection of Personal Data and employment of a new Municipal Officer for European Integration, where in this case the mayor’s adviser Ms. Djokic accepted as something necessary and indispensable, and on the other hand she asked MLGA to provide support in terms of legal procedures foreseen for appointing officer for the Protection of Personal Data and Municipal Officer for European Integration.
Advisor of the Mayor of Zvecan, as well as representatives of MLGA, jointly agreed that municipalities should provide data for first six months of 2015 regarding the fulfillment of the obligations arising particularly from the Action Plan for the SAA. Also, at the end of the meeting it was re-confirmed the continuation of the commitment and cooperation in order to fulfill common obligations of the European agenda.
