Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi participated in the meeting of the Special Group for Public Administration Reform, with the aim of institutional representation of the local government.
During this meeting Minister Krasniqi, mentioned some of the MLGA reforms that are in service to the municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo and its citizens.
Reforms at local level, preparation of the projects based on the trends and the needs of the municipalities and the digitalization of municipal services, were a key part of Minister Krasniqi’s speech during this meeting.
Among other things, Minister Krasniqi emphasized that: “MAPL has designed the electronic platform e-Municipalities, through which will be initially raised the level of interactivity with citizens, which is also about increasing transparency and accountability, as well as services will be offered for citizens and businesses, digitally. MLGA supports and will implement together with the municipalities, the Program for the Prevention and Reduction of Administrative Burden approved by the Government, which foresees concrete measures for the simplification and digitization of services at the local level, together with other actions that help businesses at the local level, such as digital taxation, as well as in the context of institutional stability, it is planned to train over 400 municipal officials for the provision of services, specifically how not to create a burden for citizens and businesses’.
MLGA, as the supervisory authority of the municipalities, will support the local level, in order to have a more efficient, effective and professional administration.
