As part of the Inter-ministerial Committee on Children’s Rights, the Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi, mentioned the role of MLGA in the promotion and protection of children’s rights through governmental and local mechanisms.
In his speech, Minister Krasniqi emphasized that “MAPL is monitoring the Administrative Instruction for the Establishment and Operation of the Team for Children’s Rights approved by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo. In 26 municipalities, the Children’s Rights Teams have already been established, which aim to strengthen the role and responsibility of municipalities to guarantee children’s rights. The Children’s Rights Team is a joint local mechanism that will work to directly address the specific issue of children and to promote their well-being in a comprehensive manner.”
At the end of his speech, Minister Krasniqi congratulated all the children on June 1, reiterating the common commitment of creating a bright future for them, in which every child will have the opportunity to develop fully and live life with dignity.
