In order to discuss the possibilities of cooperation, the Minister of Local Government Administration, Mr. Elbert Krasniqi, visited the Innovation Center of Kosovo, where he was received by the Executive Director Mr. Uranik Begu and his staff.
During this visit were discussed the plans of the Ministry of Local Government Administration in the field of digitalization, while focusing on local government and the E-Municipalities platform, which through digitalization aims to increase transparency, municipal accountability and to promote and empower active citizenship in Municipalities.
Also part of the discussion was the ‘Smart Cities’ project plan which aims to create faster, easier and more efficient access, by enabling citizens to receive municipal services in real time.
Executive Director of Innovation Center of Kosovo, Mr. Uranik Begu, mentioned some of the activities of ICK in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship, emphasizing the need for cooperation with institutions to create and operate programs and platforms that facilitate the lives of citizens and increase transparency at the local level.
In the end, Minister Krasniqi and Director Begu agreed to start to cooperate in the field of digitalization and innovation, agreeing that these two areas are two of the main pillars of the state and Kosovo society.
