The Secretary General of the MLGA, Mrs. Rozafa Ukimeraj held the next virtual meeting with Mrs. Katarina Stocker, Director of the Swiss Cooperation Office in Kosovo and Mrs. Saranda Cana, Senior Officer of the National Program from the Swiss Cooperation Office in Kosovo, as well as Mr. Norbert Pijls, Project Director at DEMOS (Helvetas) and Mr. Ertan Munoglu, Project Manager at DEMOS (Helvetas), hence they were informed about the process of implementing the performance grant.
So far, according to the decision of the Government for reallocation of funds, all preparations have been made for the commencement of the implementation of 19 projects in 12 municipalities by the MLGA. The DEMOS representatives also informed that funds have been transferred to 25 projects in 11 municipalities.
At the meeting, the Annual Audit Report of the MLGA was also discussed, where based on the report on the Performance Grant, there were no recommendation received, thus the SDC officials expressed their satisfaction with the MLGA’s partnership in terms of management of public funds, including donors for the planning phase and modalities for DEMOS 3, as well as ways of institutionalizing and advancing the municipal performance grants system.
