Ministry of Local Government Administration, participated in the Conference on Education in Kosovo, organized by Teach For Kosova.
In Kosovo, the program Teach For Kosova will recruit and train young talented leaders and will hire them as teachers for two years, in the areas mostly needed in Kosova. The same leaders will be continually engaged in promoting opportunities and equality in education, either within the education field or any other field that they chose.
The organization “Teach For Kosova” works to contextualize and to apply the approach “Teach for All” in Kosova. Teach For All is a global network of 53 independent partner organizations, led by the local level and a global organization that works to speed up the network progress.
In the Conference on Education in Kosova, from MLGA participated Mrs. Venera Cerkini- Head of Legal Department and Monitoring of Municipalities, Mrs. Luljeta Ibishi Ferizi – Senior Human Rights Officer, and representatives from municipal Education Directorate, Deputy Mayors of Municipalities, representatives from schools of different cities etc.
In the Conference part of the panel were: Egzon Gashi and Samir Shahini from Teach For Kosova, Ms. Deborah MacLean, Public Relations Officer – from USA Embassy, professor Dukagjin Pupovci from Kosovo Education Center, as well as the Mayor of Municipality of Kamenica Mr. Qëndron Kastrati.
