The Senior Human Rights Officer of MLG Mrs. Luljeta Ibishi Ferizi held a meeting with Mrs. Naime Pakashtica Senior Officer for Technical Regulations and Mrs. Sevim Berveniku, Officer for Protection against Discrimination at MEE, about joint activities in drafting the National Plan for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2021-2023.
Persons with Disabilities are a marginalized part of our society in general, in addition to physical, intellectual or sensory disabilities they face various health, social and infrastructural barriers, thus the latter is a concern for this community, and we as central and local institutions need to support them every day more. During the meeting it is discussed about finding ways to implement and respect the Administrative Instruction No. 01/13 on setting the Procedures for Preparing and Representing Requirements for Construction Conditions, Construction Permits and Demolition Permits for the III Category of Construction, which shows that in the legislative aspect this community has better inclusion but when it comes to the implementation there is considerable stagnation.
