The Deputy Secretary General of MLGA Venera Çerkini and M4Y Project Coordinator Mrs. Florentina Hajdari Hajra met with the World Bank and UNICEF to discuss the integration of the UPSHIFT model within the project “Municipalities for Youth” in Kosovo.
The Head of the UNICEF Office in Kosovo, Mrs. Larisa Bruun informed the World Bank and the MLGA that UNICEF is in the final stages of finalizing the Standard Cooperation Agreement with the MLGA, thus assures the team that the project partners can continue with intensive work on integrating the UPSHIFT program into the M4Y project.
The Deputy Secretary General of MLGA welcomed the participants, emphasizing that the MLGA is ready and will support the cooperation with UNICEF in order to support as many young people as possible in the ten partner municipalities of the M4Y project. While the M4Y Project Coordinator Mrs. Hajdari Hajra made a presentation on the progress, noting that the partnership between the M4Y Facilitation Organization and the UNICEF partner organization is bringing the first results with the preparation of the Training Manual for young people, and of course the presence of UNICEF in technical meetings has an impact on facilitating the activities.
The meeting parties agreed that in order to better coordinate, regular meetings will be intensified, and UNICEF will support the project even before the formalization of cooperation.
