Mrs. Kadrije Myrtaj and Mrs. Teuta Fazliu from the Human Rights Enhancement Division participated in the regional workshop “Prevention and Fighting against Trafficking of Human Beings in the Western Balkans”. The workshop aimed to improve the situation of (potential) victims of trafficking of human beings in the Western Balkans, between mixed migration movements and the local population focused on three areas: Prevention, Protection and Partnership. The strategic partnership of the project will be the regional initiative of migration, asylum, refugees (MARRI) and project activities will be implemented based on a multi-level approach.
The workshop also aimed to bring together all relevant public sector and civil society actors to implement the project with a view to discussing project activities and developing the project’s operational plan, including expected achievements, work activities and timeframes of the project for the next three years.
The workshop was organized by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and was supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany.
The delegation from Kosovo consisted of members of the National Authority against Trafficking of Human Beings, in which representatives from six (6) countries in the region have participated as well.
