The process of evaluating the performance of municipalities for 2019, has started. The evaluation is being done, after the review of the Municipal Performance Management System for 19 areas and 119 measurement indicators. In addition to the municipal services of the fields so far, which include: administrative and social services, environmental protection, urban planning, municipal infrastructure, public transport, parking lots, drinking water, waste management, and other services, at this stage. The performance of municipalities in the field of pre-university education, primary health, gender equality and local economic development is assessed, for the first time.
This process is based on the new Regulation on Municipal Performance Management System, which entered into force on July 1 this year. The results of the municipalities’ work will be taken into consideration, in the next cycle of grant allocation for municipal performance.
