On 14.05.2026, a meeting is held with the Directors of the Local Economic Development Directorates in Municipalities. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the challenges of municipalities in the process of drafting strategic policies for local economic development as well as their harmonization with national policies for economic development.
The meeting was attended by Ms. Pascale Roussy – Director of the OSCE Department for Democratization, Bosko Stankovski – Senior Official in the OSCE Department for Democratization, Fatmir Zylfijaj – Senior Official in the OSCE Department for Democratization, representatives of the Municipal Directorates for Local Economic Development and representatives from the Ministry of Local Government Administration (MLGA).
During the meeting it was presented the implementation of the National Program for Local Economic Development, 2030; the current state and harmonization of Local Economic Development Strategies with the National Program for Local Economic Development (NPLED) 2030; model Local Economic Development Strategy and model economic profile of municipalities. The municipalities then discussed the challenges in the process of drafting policies in the field of Local Economic Development and addressing these challenges.
