The Ministry of Local Government Administration (MLGA) in cooperation and close partnership with the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, the Kosovo Institute for Local Government (KLGI) / Dialogue for European Municipalities (DEM) program, organized 5 consultative workshops with 38 municipalities of Kosovo on the topic “Inter-Municipal Cooperation Initiatives”. In the organization of these consultative workshops by the invited municipalities were the Chiefs of Cabinet of the Mayors, the Chairpersons of the Municipal Assemblies, as well as the legal officers.
The purpose of these workshops was to discuss and address the opportunities of municipalities for inter-municipal cooperation, as well as to provide their assistance in terms of implementing initiatives and procedures for inter-municipal cooperation. Through these collaborations, the roads were opened to the municipalities in the realization of common goals and interests in the function of local economic development and the provision of the highest quality services to the citizens.
