The Ministry of Local Government Administration, in cooperation with the non-governmental organization “Terre des Hommes”, has started with the cycle of joint workshops with the municipalities according to the regions. This workshop was held with the municipalities of the Peja region: Peja, Decan, Istog, Junik and Klina. In the workshop were discussed the obligations of the municipalities in implementation of the Law on Child Protection, article 14 and 15.
Representatives from the Ministry of Local Government Administration emphasized that they are committed to fulfilling legal obligations in the context of human rights and continue to support municipalities through various projects.
While, municipalities emphasized that a continuous cooperation with the central institutions and civil society organizations is needed, in particular in informing about their obligations to achieve the goals set.
In addition to MLGA representatives in this activity also participated representatives from “Terre des Homes”, representatives from the Directorate of Health and Social Welfare, Legal Officers, representatives from the Human Rights Unit in the municipalities, representatives from the Center for Social Work, representatives from the Center for Social Work in Gjakova, as well as representatives from the NGO “AT”.
