Within the joint meeting of the two governments, that of the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Albania, part of the delegation of the Republic of Kosovo, was also the Minister of Local Government Administration, Mr. Elbert Krasniqi. The meeting is held as part of the agreement between the two countries for the coordination and implementation of the cross-border cooperation program within the IPA II Funds 2014 – 2020, where the main priorities are focused on environmental protection, promotion of cultural and natural heritage, as well as investment in youth, education and skills.
Minister Krasniqi, together with the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Mrs. Olta Xhaçka, in May, respectively July 2021, has signed the Partnership Agreement for the Management of the Assistance Grant Contract under the IPA program for cross-border cooperation Albania – Kosovo, 2014 – 2020.
In this agreement are defined the responsibilities of each partner for the implementation of the program, including the organization, methodology, key experts and budget allocation as an integral part of this agreement.
