A joint meeting is held with the Chairpersons of the Municipal Assemblies to discuss the draft report on the functioning of municipal bodies, for the period January-June, 2020.
The report contains the activities of municipal assemblies based on the legal requirements arising from the Law on local self-government, including: meetings of Municipal Assemblies, the reporting of the Mayor, the activity of mandatory committees, consultations and public meetings with citizens, as well as the process of assessing the legality of acts of Municipal Assemblies.
Hence, the Deputy Ministers of MLG Mrs. Fatbardha Emini and Mrs. Magbule Shkodra thanked the Chairmen for the cooperation so far, as well as for their contribution to the progress and functioning of Municipal Assemblies, especially the role of Municipal Assemblies, in terms of decision-making due to the emergency situation caused by the COVID 19 pandemic.
MLG is ready to support municipalities in terms of preliminary consultations in order to avoid legal violations in the decision-making process by municipal bodies, as well as to support financially for the management of the pandemic situation, and also to provide support through the performance grant.
