By decision of the Government on the approval and implementation of the economic recovery plan, Measure 12: provides support to Municipalities for managing the situation due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
MLG shall implement the decision and provide support to municipalities in the amount of 10 million Euros.
In the coming days, MLG based on the decision, will draft the criteria for supporting municipalities to cover costs, during the pandemic. In cooperation with the Municipalities, a strategy will be prepared, according to which the criteria and conditions for benefiting from this measure will be set.
According to this decision, an additional 29 million Euros will be available to the Municipalities, in order to address their needs (funds which were foreseen to cover salary increases for public officials).
MLG remains committed to support municipalities, to continue coordination and cooperation with municipalities in order to maximize the benefits of citizens from the economic recovery package, approved by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.
