Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Government Administration, Slobodan Petrović, has visited today the workers engaged in cleaning the landfill around the cemetery in Çagllavicë/Caglavica.
The action was organized following the meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister Slobodan Petrović with the local residents in Çagllavicë/Caglavica, where among other issues they have highlighted the problem with regards to the landfill around the cemetery.
The Deputy Prime Minister has said “This initiative is very important for the protection of the cemetery, since the cemetery is one of the proofs of our identity," and added that "environmental protection is a very important part of our lives and in this sense, the landfill in the town center or near the cemetery in this case is unacceptable and therefore this action is now an essential step in the process of protecting the environment in which we live. After the meeting I had with the local residents in Çagllavicë/Caglavica I have promised that I would help them to solve this problem. I am here today to personally see that this problem is being solved”
Minister Petrović has also pointed out that the Ministry of Local Government Administration shall continue to implement all the agreements that were reached at a meeting he held with the residents of Çagllavicë/Caglavica.
