Honorable representatives of international organizations, distinguished organizers, special greetings to all participants in mini-Olympic games!
I have the honor and special pleasure to be here with you today! I consider that such event shows who we are, especially as a society.
Taking into consideration that mini-Olympic games have been held for years now, I can freely state that these mini-Olympic games have now become a tradition in Kosovo. Races that are organized in a number of categories for persons with special needs are an opportunity to prove that persons with special needs are in fact fully equal with all citizens of Kosovo. The needs of persons with special needs are the same as the needs of other Kosovo citizens, and therefore all relevant central and local factors and institutions should engage on enabling those with special needs to have the same access to every opportunity as the other citizens of Kosovo have.
Before MLGA, I state responsibly that we will try to be at the level of duty, we will use all the existing mechanisms, but we will create new ones too, in order to raise our awareness and through concrete actions and essential concern, show everyone that you are very important to us.
With my presence here today, together with all of you, I would like to confirm my readiness to promote, the respect of the fundamental rights of all citizens, including those with special needs.
I thank the OSCE Mission and the Kosovo Public Safety Academy, you are a good example of how one should act! I especially appreciate your approach to this activity, getting closer to the community, you have joined different categories of our society, and you have made a multiethnic organization because you have brought together the communities as well. And for that, I thank you for the invitation, I am proud to be amongst you at this moment. You can count on us!
