MLGA, as the institution responsible for monitoring the implementation of legal acts and state policies, with the recommendation of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has drafted the National Strategy for the Management and Control of Dogs with and without Owners.
The working group established by the Minister of MLGA, Elbert Krasniqi, has finalized the strategy which defines the immediate measures and actions that must be undertaken by the municipalities and relevant institutions for a long-time period, during the years 2022-2028.
The National Draft Strategy for the Management and Control of Dogs with and without Owners for the foreseen period aims to develop a suitable environment for the management of dog population, as well as preparation of a comprehensive legal framework, general social education and the promotion of responsible ownership aiming to create safety for citizens and humane treatment for dogs with and without owners.
