Minister of the Ministry of Local Government Elbert Krasniqi together with the Minister of Health Rifat Latifi, held the virtual meeting with the Mayors of the Municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo, in order to have an inter-institutional coordination in dealing with Covid-19 pandemic.
Minister Latifi informed the Mayors of municipalities on the updated epidemiological condition and the vaccine process.
Minister Krasniqi and Minister Latifi thanked the mayors of the municipalities for the cooperation, given that dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic requires their commitment to maximum capacity.
Minister Latifi emphasized that in accordance with NIPH and health experts they are continually assessing the epidemiological situation and asked for the support and commitment of municipalities in strengthening the implementation of the measures, as vaccination remains the only means of curbing the pandemic, and avoiding total closure, thus avoiding hospital overcrowding and closing businesses and schools.
