Prishtina, Belgrade – The daily newspaper “Danas” has learned from well-informed sources that Prime Minister of Serbia Ivica Dačić and First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić are preparing to meet soon with the Deputy Prime Minister of Kosova Slobodan Petrović.
Separate meetings of the highest representatives of the Government in Belgrade with Petrović, who is the leader of the Independent Liberal Party (ILP), the largest Serbian political party participating in the institutions of Kosovo, are being prepared and are expected to he held in a matter of days.
The interlocutors of the daily newspaper “Danas” have said that these first meetings between senior officials of the Government of Serbia with Slobodan Petrović would be an opportunity to establish different relations between Belgrade and representatives of the Kosovo Serbs.
Petrović did not want to comment on the allegations, but sources of “Danas” have confirmed the great interest of the international representatives for cooperation of the Government of Serbia with ILP, which after adoption of the resolution and platform of the Assembly of Serbia on Kosovo has brought the first concrete and tangible results in improving the situation of Kosovo Serbs south of the Ibar.
Kosovo media in Albanian language and sources of “Danas” have emphasized that such meetings could be of great importance for improving the cooperation between Belgrade and Prishtina, and that their realization will be assessed as a contribution to the process of normalization of relations between two sides.
