A meeting of the DEMOS Project Steering Committee is being held with representatives from the Ministry and donor agencies to present the progress report and activities carried out since the previous meeting.
Participants from the Ministry of Local Government Administration (MLGA) include First Deputy Minister Mr. Agon Batusha, the Director of the Department for Performance Assessment and Performance Grant, Mr. Drin Harqia, and the Head of the Municipal Performance Assessment Division, Mr. Haxhi Krasniqi.
In the meeting also participated donor representatives from the Swiss Cooperation Office, the Swedish Office, and the European Union Office, as well as representatives from the Association of Kosovo Municipalities.
During the meeting, the progress report and the advancements made since the last meeting were presented. The report was deemed successful, reflecting the ongoing commitment, work accomplished, and joint activities involving all stakeholders in the municipal performance assessment and Municipal Performance Grant processes. On this occasion, donor representatives commended MLGA for the work accomplished and for establishing efficient mechanisms to assess municipal performance and implement the Municipal Performance Grant, acknowledging the inter-institutional cooperation and the commitment to advancing local governance in Kosovo.
