Deputy Minister of MLGA, Mr. Basri Musmurati, participated in the Second Annual Conference of Social- Welfare Services with topic: “Innovation and Sustainability of Social-Welfare Services”.

Deputy Minister of MLGA, Mr. Basri Musmurati, participated in the Second Annual Conference of Social- Welfare Services with topic: “Innovation and Sustainability of Social-Welfare Services”.

“MLGA has worked very vigorously, and in cooperation with other Ministries, municipalities and national partners and international partners in order to transfer other functions. Now, since the majority of competences were transferred in proper way, and in accordance with the European Chart of Local Self-Governance, MLGA will seek new ways on transferring the jurisdiction, based on the experience and system from other Countries”, it was  said in this conference by the Deputy Minister Mr. Basri Musmurati.

Deputy Minister Mr. Basri Musmurati promised support on providing adequate training for the employees, who are responsible for providing social -welfare service, also in cooperation with other line ministries and municipalities until finalizing this process.

The system of providing social welfare service, have gone through deep changes during this year, there for have been important improvement, and these achievements are in line with the politic direction that were set by the Ahtisari Plan and the Memorandum of Understanding , signed on February 2009 between  MLSW, MLGA, MF and with each Municipalities of Kosovo.

Second Annual Conference of Social -Welfare supported by the project for Decentralizing the Service of Social-Welfare in Kosovo, financed by the UKAID/DIFD, who was supported by the Kosovo Government on empowering the management system for financial and administrative decentralization for social-welfare services.
