Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Government Administration, Mr. Slobodan Petrović has participated in the debate organized by the Media Center in Caglavica, entitled "Government’s approach to northern Kosovo and the possible scenarios in the process of negotiations for the north of Kosovo." 23 October 2012, Prishtina
On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Petrović has emphasizing the continuing commitment of the Ministry of Local Government Administration in the implementation of various projects. While evaluating the opening of the civil office in that part, Minister Petrović has said that the situation in that part requires overall commitment.
The Deputy Prime Minister Petrović has said “A greater commitment, not only of the Government, but also of other stakeholders is needed in order to have access to that part. Less politics and more concrete results are required. I think the dialogue between Prishtina and Belgrade will have an impact towards continuation of the process of decentralization in the North, which is essential not only for municipalities, but for all."
EU representative in Kosovo, Mr. Samuel Zbogar has stressed that for the normalization of relations three types of dialogue should be conducted: dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, which was launched with the help of the EU and U.S., Kosovo dialogue with the North, for which the Government Kosovo has some concrete ideas and third dialogue between Serbs in the north and south.
Mr. Aleksandar Stojanović from the NGO "Center for the local environment development and Mr. Agron Bajrami from the newspaper “Koha Ditore” have also attended this debate.
