Slobodan Petrovic: Under the mandate of the Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo and the Minister of MLGA, I will concentrate my work on the creation of a perspective for a better life for all citizens and on the implementation of the decentralization process in the North.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo and the Minister of the Ministry of Local Government Administration, Mr. Slobodan Petrovic, had a meeting with the Ambassador of Great Britain in Kosovo, Mr. IIan Cameroon Cliff with whom he discussed about the issue of security in the Northern Mitrovica and the role of EULEX in this regards.
The Deputy Prime Minister Petrovic thanked the Ambassador IIan Cameroon Cliff for the support that Britain gave for the decentralization process in Kosovo, especially the project implemented by DFID and the grants given for municipalities.
During the meeting with the Ambassador IIan Cameroon, Deputy Prime Minister Petrovic said that during his mandate he will work in to directions: the creation of a perspective for a better life for all citizens and the implementation of decentralization process in the northern part of the country.
"Under the mandate of the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of MALG, I will focus my work on the creation of a perspective for better life for all citizens and the implementation of the decentralization process in the North” stated the Deputy Prime Minister Petrovic.
Topic of the discussions between the Deputy Prime Minister Petrovic and the Ambassador IIan Cameroon Cliff was the local governance in general and also the role of MALG in regard to the political processes that the country is facing.
While expressing his preparedness for supporting the Kosovo’s institutions, the Ambassador of Great Britain in Kosovo, said that Great Britain wants to see a multiethnic Kosovo incorporated in the Euro-Atlantic structures.
