Upon the invitation of United States Congress, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Government Administration Mr. Slobodan Petrović is staying in USA to attend the National Prayer Day ceremony in Washington.
The Deputy Prime Minister has today held meetings with the representative of the US State Department, respectively U.S Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Mr. Hoyt Brian Yee and Director of the Office for European and Euro-Asian Matters, Mr. Jonathan Moore.
The main topics discussed with the representatives of the U.S. Department were focused on the general political and economic situation in Kosovo, integration of north and implementation of Brussels agreement.
The recent local elections process, the election reform as well integration of communities in Kosovo was also topics of discussion.
The Deputy Prime Minister Petrović has also met the Director of Strategic Partnerships Mr. Marek Gootman, with whom he has discussed about the exchange of experiences between Kosovo and USA as well local economic development.
The Deputy Prime Minister Petrović will continue its meetings tomorrow with the representatives of the Senate and U.S. Congress.
