Deputy Prime Minister Petrovic participates in the Conference “Constitutional position and legal position of the Communities in the Region”

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of MLGA, MR. Slobodan Petrovic participated in the Conference “Constitutional Position and Legal Position of the Communities and its role in the European Perspective- Comparing Aspects”

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of MLGA, MR. Slobodan Petrovic participated in the Conference “Constitutional Position and Legal Position of the Communities and its role in the European Perspective- Comparing Aspects” which was organized by the Institute for Constitutional and Parliamentary Studies in Cooperation with the Association of Montenegrins of Kosovo, supported by the Foundation of Friedrich Ebert Stiftung.

Talking about the Constitutional Position of Serbian community, Deputy Prime Minister Petrovic said that the integration of the Serbian community in the Kosovar society isn’t ideal, but he said that the situation on Kosovo is much better than it was in the previous years.

“Integration of the Serbian society in to the Kosovar society isn’t ideal, and I would say that it is in the begging phase but I believe that it is going to in to the right direction. Perhaps I’m never satisfied because in front of us is a long road a head, and I’m begging for the rights and inters of the Serbian community, and for their complete freedom and economic development improvement” it was said by Minister Petrovic.

Where as, Chairman of Commission for Constitutional amendment, MR. Arsim Bajrami said that the road toward the European integration of minorities is a very important element for democratic development.

On this conference participated also Ministry of Diaspora, MR. Ibrahim Makolli, members of Kosovo Assembly, Academics, and representatives of the countries institutions, representative from the civil society and members of the international community in the Republic of Kosovo.
