The donor conference on “Improving services to citizens in the 16 partner municipalities of the AKT LS program” has been held. In this conference were presented the projects of partner municipalities of AKT LS USAID program: Graçanicë, Kllokot, Novobërdë/Novo Brdo, Parteš / Partesh, Ranillug, Shtërpcë/Strpce, Gjilan/Gnjiljane, Istog, Klinë, Obiliq, Peja/c, Vushtrri/Vucitern, North Mitrovica, Leposaviq, Zubin Potok and Zvecan.
The General Secretary of MLGA, Ms. Rozafa Ukimeraj, initially congratulated them for the project success and stressed that “Undoubtedly I want to highly appreciate the commitment and continued contribution of USAID, that through such forms of support is contributing to effective governance, in strengthening of the institutional capacities of municipalities, in integration of communities and strengthening of businesses as well as conditions for economic development in the country. I would like to emphasize that these programs create conditions that the local government to constitute an active force for the development of community life, therefore the support and the establishment of municipal structures should always occur. It is necessary that local government be built on the basis of sound communication, emanating from citizens’ views and to be able to fairly fulfill their demands. ”
