On 16 September 2016, the Ministry of Local Government Administration has organised the meeting of the Working Group for Drafting of the Draft-Law on Names and Administrative Boundaries of Municipalities.
The meeting was attended by representatives from MLGA, Kosovo Cadastral Agency and Statistics Agency of Kosovo.
The meeting was opened by Ms. Flutura Hoxha, Head of Division for Development and Harmonisation of Legislation in MLGA, who in the capacity of the Chairperson of the Working Group reiterated that the Draft-Law on Names and Administrative Boundaries of Municipalities is foreseen in the Work Plan of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the Legislative Strategy for 2016. This law is of vital importance and is based on the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo. General issues related to the further work that will be carried our regarding this law, cadastral zones, criteria for new municipalities, other stakeholders who will be consulted were among the topics of discussion. The meeting was conducted in a constructive spirit. WG will continue with other meetings.
