The Ministry of Local Government Administration has organized a new round of workshops on local finances, in cooperation with USAID/DEMI and Ministry of Finances
• Strengthening of the Municipal Assembly, as the highest body of the municipality;
• Improvement/advancement of the process of budgeting in the municipality;
• Increasing knowledge of Municipal Assembly on local finances;
The workshop was organized in three modules: The first module entitled “General statement of municipal finances- revenues and expenditures” was presented by the representatives of USAID / DEMI. The second module entitled “Development of budget process 2014 -2016 – municipal budget” was presented by the representatives of the Ministry of Finances, whereas the third module was presented by the representatives of the Ministry of Local Government Administration.
The MLGA has addressed the topic: Analysis of Financial Reports focused on revenues.
The workshop was conducted in eight groups, consisted of the members of the Policy and Finance Committee and Heads of the Departments of Budget and Finance in the partner municipalities of USAID/DEMI.
The workshop in the municipality of Partesh/Parteš, Ranillug/Ranilug, Kllokot/Klokot and Shtërpce/Štrpce was held on 20.02.2013; The workshop in the municipality of Fushë Kosovë/Kosovo Polje, Novobërdë/Novo Brdo and Graçanicë/Gračanica was held on 22.02.2013; The workshop in the municipality of Pejë/Peć and Istog/Istok was held on 26.02.2013;
The workshop in the municipality of Gjilan/Gnjilane, Kamenicë/Kamenica and Kaçanik/Kačanik was held on 28.02.2013; The workshop in the municipality of Prizren and Mamushë/Mamuša was held on 05.03.2013; The workshop in the municipality of Suharekë/Suvareka and Malishevë/Mališevo was held on 07.03.2013; The workshop in the municipality of Rahovec/Orahovac, Deqan/Dečani and Junik was held on 02.03.2013; The workshop in the municipality of Mitrovicë/Mitrovica and Vushtrri/Vučitrn was held on 14.03.2013;
