In the framework of the excellent relations between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Italy, a meeting was held at the Italian Senate between the Secretary of the Commission for Balance, Donatella Conzatti, Vice President of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Laura Gravini and the Minister of Local Government Administration Elbert Krasniqi, accompanied by the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in Italy, Lendita Haxhitasim.
During this meeting, topics of mutual interest were discussed for which the Italian parliament can play an important role in supporting issues such as the Republic of Kosovo’s candidacy for membership in the Council of Europe, visa liberalization and the consolidation of the social economic context with a focus on the absorption of investments.
Minister Krasniqi emphasized the readiness to support Italian companies that plan to invest in the Kosovo market, which offers new and qualified workforce.
On the other hand, Mrs. Conzatti emphasized that Italy supports the journey of the Republic of Kosovo towards the EU, as well as towards the Council of Europe, as Kosovo is proving that it is on the right path towards reforms, development and promotion of democracy and human rights.
This should be a good reason to push political, economic and cultural institutions to create new opportunities to exchange experiences between two countries that live in perfect symbiosis.
