The Ministry of Local Government Administration in support of USAID, on 12-13 September 2017, has organized a two-day workshop on composing the Draft Law on allocation for use and exchange of the immovable property of the municipality
Participants in this workshop were: Officials of the Ministry of Local Government Administration, USAID, Association of Kosovo Municipalities, Kosovo Cadastral Agency, Privatization Agency of Kosovo, Agency for Comparison and Verification of Property, Ministry of Kosovo Security Force, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economic Development as well as officials of the municipality of Prishtina, municipality of Gjilan and also participants of civil society.
Mr. Fatos Qerimi, Head of the Legal Department and Monitoring of the Municipalities at MLGA, has informed the participants that after the adoption of the Concept Paper for drafting of the Draft Law on allocation for use and exchange of immovable property of the municipality, in April this year has begun with the drafting of this draft law. Also, the drafting of this draft law is foreseen in the Legislative Plan for 2017, as well as in the Government Work Plan. This draft law aims to facilitate the procedures on allocation for use as well as will provide faster access to investment and economic development of municipalities.
The working group has drafted the first draft of the Draft Law on allocation for use and exchange of immovable property of the municipality and through the workshop was provided the treatment of this draft with other actors, to supplement and change as well as through constructive discussions in interest for further development of the Draft Law.
